Where To Stay

Beachfront inns, cozy B&Bs, and South County vacation rentals.

Narragansett's lodging options range from beachfront hotels steps from Town Beach to charming South County inns in the surrounding countryside. The best strategy depends on your priorities — walk-to-beach convenience versus quiet and value. Summer weekends book up months in advance; plan accordingly.

Booking Tips

Book Early for Summer

July 4th weekend and the weeks immediately after are the busiest. Beachfront properties book 4–6 months ahead. Don't wait if you have specific dates in mind.

Fall is Underrated

September and October are the best months for experienced surfers — and rates drop significantly after Labor Day. Warm weather, good surf, and half the crowds.

Consider Wakefield or South Kingstown

Staying in the adjacent towns saves money and still puts you within 10–15 minutes of the beach. Good B&B options at better rates than the Ocean Road corridor.

Block Island Overnight

Consider spending a night on Block Island during your trip — the ferry from Point Judith is 55 minutes. Hotels book up fast in summer; reserve ahead if this appeals.
